Activities
There is easy access to open moors and stunning countryside straight from the door, with one of the most extensive areas of footpaths and bridleways in the country.

In addition to the Pennine Way passing close by, we are circled by the Calderdale Way, a 50-mile circular route around the Calder Valley.

A growing network of bridleways makes for excellent mountain-biking and horse-riding routes, including the 42 mile Mary Townley Loop which has become a favourite with walkers, off-road bikers and riders.

As keen fell-runners, walkers and mountain-bikers ourselves, we can provide plenty of information on routes in the area. In the welcome pack there are maps of various walking/cycling/riding routes from 3 to 30 miles, all easily accessible from our house. Copies of the maps are available to take with you.
